Malham, Malham Tarn, Attermire Scar walk
Earlier in the year our group did the Malhamdale, Malham Tarn, Attermire Scar walk. A new course for me and worthy of comparing to the Three peaks trek for its short but steep inclines throughout 15.169 miles of gorgeous country landscape. If you are a slow walker who likes to take in the scenery and have regular snack breaks, give yourself enough time to complete the walk before darkness falls because this is a monster of a trek. Suitable for Intermediate to Experienced levels of hill walking abilities.
If you love walking at speed and wish to challenge yourself, the steep ascent up the side of Malharm Cove will surely warm you up. Take care on the final steep, steep ascent and descent on the return to Malham (it can be a bit tricky, especially in wet weather).
Malham Cove – The group told me the only way out was to scale the front face of this :O
I was relieved to know we we weren’t scaling Malham Cove, but this was short lived as we still had to traverse these steep steps…oh my days.
Walking past the River Aire was so peaceful.
