Going against all odds?
I’m a terrible traveller. I feel slightly claustrophobic on buses, trains, aeroplanes and even travelling as a passenger in a car. Strange really, because I don’t have an issue with using elevators. In order to keep myself calm, I do controlled breathing to relax myself when I have to use any of the other modes of transport. To the untrained eye I would just look like another traveller wanting to get from A-B through the hustle and bustle. But underneath it all, I feel like I’m suffocating through lack of air. Some how I have learned to mask my condition well over the years, but I’m sure it’s getting worse.
All things considered, thinking about ‘Adventure caving’ at Ingleborough Caves should definitely be off my radar(possibly a candidate for my ‘No’ list) or will it be like the elevator scenario, all nice and cosy…hmmm? As Fagin would say ‘I’m reviewing the situation’.
