Born to your trait

First born/Only child

Like so many of us, I’ve had chats with a wide range of people from all walks of life and one thing I know to be my own solemn truth is that a person who is a first born shows a certain amount of grit and determination, often to the point of appearing almost bossy and very insistent on their ‘way’ being the right way or not at all.  If you are lost, they will jump to the helm to take charge and attempt to steer you in the right direction. They tend to amass a great deal of knowledge about life which is probably from their love of spending time with older mature people. With their wide knowledge base they make good ‘Go To’ people within organisations or the home environment. The best first borns have learned to control their natural urge to become over bearing with their wishes and desires, negating their need to whip people down with their extreme knowledge.

First Borns – Knowledge is Power

Middle/(Second if only two) born

A person/s born in the Middle of their brood tends to be more introverted in how they present themselves, often holding snippets or even whole entities of their lives away from others. They feel more content within their immediate group of friends/acquaintances where they excel at instigating innovative ideas . They tend to see all sides of any issues that may occur, making them a good ear to lean on in times of trouble. The best mid borns have learned to give a little more of themselves within relationships(but not too much) as they have come to understand that their imaginative minds can help others overcome their own deep seated issues. Mid borns make brilliant arbitrators and have a natural in-built mediation system that others warm to immediately without even realising. There are no airs and graces with mid borns, they are the positive surprise element in projects of any size.  One rule applies for mid borns, they don’t want to ‘lead’. Push them to lead at your peril, as this is not where their skill sets are at. Give them room to be inventive and creative and you have a happy mid born.

Mid Borns – Creativity is power

Last born (if more than two)

Carefree, Good time Charlies who want for nothing more than an invite to the next party. Full of charisma and exuding confidence in abundance, they can be much fun to be around as they are usually the life and soul of the party. If anything interesting is going to happen they will be in the thick of it soaking up centre stage. In extreme circumstances, last borns would rather buy the latest new trend that will put them in the spotlight, than put food on their table.  They more often than not are very controlling, pampered or mollycoddled to the extreme. Last borns make great hosts/hostesses, they excel at presenting or doing anything that doesn’t have to be repeated as they have a very short attention span. They will have many, many friends, acquaintances, associates etc and can be useful if a particular acquaintance provides a service you may require, increasing your chances of getting ‘Mates rates’ on a whole host of activities and ventures. Last borns (in their minds) are modern day ‘A’ listers, this kind of thinking can be quite useful if you are wanting to throw a lavish 16th Birthday party or draw up a design plan for a lucrative works venue. So if you give a last born no responsibility but the opportunity to present/host etc in a one off venture (never to be repeated), you will have an absolutely astounding event at your finger tips.

Last borns – Partying is Power
