Do the right thing, not the wrong right thing
What compels us to do the things we do?
Knowing and applying right from wrong is not a religion thing, its not an adult thing, its not even a class thing.
Surely it can’t be so hard as to apply the right actions in the right moment, if so why do so many choose the wrong path in an attempt to achieve some kind of machismo satisfaction at the expense of others.
Maybe my understanding of what makes up a wrong action is perceived by another person as a right action, but how right is it to cause death or severe injury to innocent people/children who have nothing to do with the lunacy that is street gangs or vigilantes pretending to serve the greater good. Excuse after excuse is afforded blatant wrong behaviour, psychologists blame absent fathers, lack of jobs, lack of education, lack of strict parenting, the list is endless, but all the reasons in the world don’t detract me from this abominable behaviour and no amount of excuses can make such huge wrongs seem right in my eyes.
This is the life of the street gangs and vigilantes, being able to find the smallest of tenuous excuses to make their wrong action seem right, to look hard faced and fearless, to Show no remorse…Show no emotion…Just take, take, take at any cost. Defend yourself with your bare hands, they pull a knife, protect yourself with a piece of furniture, they pull a gun, scream for mercy they stamp on your soul or even worse leave you suffering a paltry existence for the remainder of your days, Thusha Kamaleswaran’s one wish is to walk again, Treyvon Martin will never see the light of day again, surely these senseless shootings cannot be deemed as right even in the most hardened of minds.
To all, I express one thought, one action, ‘Do the right thing, not the wrong right thing’
