Chess Grandmaster – In his dreams.

Stopherjones shares his chess journey with Fong Tien

“Well, I’ve known how to play chess for years, how the pieces move, even the knight. I even know about castling, didn’t know about en passant before though, that was new to me, still don’t really understand it, it’s the chess equivalent of the offside rule, anyway Fong Tien has taken some time out not to show me the basic mechanics, but more to show me simple concepts of the game, the strategy, the structure of the start, middle and end game, analysis of the rank and file zones, continuous piece development and above all ‘patience’. Sensei, master, grandmaster of chess – in his dreams, but maybe one day. Thanks Fong” 😉
