The Animal Within
On balance I have had a really good chess experience this year, I continue to search for the smallest morsel of information on how to improve my game. At times I have felt like a hamster scurrying this way and that in order to gather as much information as possible. My brain feels like it is going to explode, but as Spock would say ‘That is highly illlogical’.
In my search I have developed almost cat like reflexes in dealing with current chess games, in some games I am more like an elephant in a china shop, truth be told more to the latter but I persist in the development of the cat within.
And you know, one day, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon for the rest of my life
I may partake in a blinding display of absolute chess mastery with the knowledge that even when I reach such heights I will still need to nurture the elephant within.
