Flip the script on your day
With everyday stresses of life it seems normal for people to think of stress as something imposed on them from the outside world.
Specialists, however, define it differently; it is not the event outside ourselves that causes the stress and torment but the way we deal with it.
The cause of stress, may be external, such as a natural disaster or crime, or internal such as a feeling of anger or anxiety. It may be physical (injury or infection), economic (getting laid off work), or emotional (marital problems). It may be a one Time crisis or an ongoing condition.
Whatever the cause, chronic stress has a range of unpleasant effects. It can produce or contribute to muscle strain, fatigue, headaches, ulcers, asthma, back pain, digestive disorders, high blood pressure and heart problems.
On a grand scale of things “One persons trauma is another’s exciting challenge”.
Remember; it is not the event but the way you react to it.
In the picture above, the clouds are looking very dismal and ready to rain on my parade. What a dreary feeling they depict. It is but my choice to let this vision dictate my mood or I can flip the script I see the rippling calm of the peaceful waters right in front of me.
