The power of the mind is a curious thing.
Our wanton desires are rolled into micro fibres of illusion which can never be replicated. It can play tricks on us yet be our most valued asset, it can let you down in times of need, but it remains our life force. How great is the brain? we need look no further than our own televisions or listen to the news to know how vast the brains abilities extend to. Each and every person (even twins, triplets etc) has an individual, independant brain, just look at the differing products and services that have been created by the human brain, too vast to mention.
After all its greatness, our dynamic brains still have the knack of shutting down at the most inopportune times, probably due to too much adrenaline being pumped into the body and no avenue to release it, creating a sort of ‘freeze’ moment in time. It might shut down due to excessive stress being put on it, stress which a normal person may not be used to dealing with.
Put this same amount of stress on a trained person and watch them ‘Slow Time’ down to deal with the situation.
I’ve found taking myself into a meditative state helps me to reach a form of slowing down time and gives me a renewed sense of being.
