Leaving a mark in the world is what we are here for?
I would have to agree with this, but it would seem to come at a price. As many people clamber for their 15 minutes of fame, the world stage is starting to creek. It would seem there are many talented people all sharing the same talent, if they are all sharing the same talent then we are all seeing the same thing, if we are all seeing the same thing then the talent becomes normal and not something to be celebrated. This creates a natural urge within people to perform extreme acts to shock and bewilder their audiences, but does this give them the longevity of celebrity they so yearn?
On the other side of the coin, passing on positive life experiences from generation to generation can only be a good thing and I agree wholeheartedly that many, many ‘unstar struck’ people give an awful lot for nothing or very little. Their lights shine bright for me.
