Attermire Scar v Sheep Dog in Yorkshire Dales
This is a brilliant trek, I found it very hard going on the old knees and thighs but shaped up when a mature gentleman and his sheep dog breezed passed me with a huge smile on his face and a ‘Having a nice day’ ring to his voice.
I stopped walking when he got out of range and had a pit stop.
Steep Bottom of Attermire Scar
Truly arduous climb for me. Coupled with the blistering heat it definitely felt like I had made the wrong decision. Reaching the top of this bit is just the beginning. Doh.
Steep, Steep bit of Attermire Scar in Yorkshire Dales
Strangely I felt at one with the earth when I reached this bit and felt more of the earth as I picked myself up of the floor from shock at the sheer sight of the climb ahead. Funnily my elbow felt a bit damp and thought for a second that someone had spilt their drink on the way, but on second thoughts I realised… that only the mature gentleman and his sheep dog had passed me and the man wasn’t drinking!!!

Oh my god. What am I doing?
The sheep do make me laugh when they stare right into your face, as if to say ‘Take your rookie walking self back down the hill, this is no place for you city boy’
