Rookies Chess Play 4

Black to move continuation
Well, my chess relaxation practise is keeping me very calm and I am more focussed in my moves, but I still think there is something missing, something that I know needs to present itself to me or I to it. After much thought I realised that it is the ‘Oneness‘ that has not shown itself to me.
A bit like learning anything new, I am having to learn the ropes before I can truly be at one with this splendid art of chess and impatience will not serve me any favours.
Previously I had been too tentative with my openings in the hope that overly guarding my own King would prevent a check mate, but this strategy really does not work for me as I would often leave myself open to countless pins (restricted movement by opponents piece), forks (opponents piece freely has option of taking one of two pieces) and forfeits (conceding a piece to the opponent).
This frequently left me without a clear end in sight and just fire fighting as some would call it.
The game I took part in recently totally blew me away, after practising my mid and end game strategies, I felt slightly more confident in executing combination attacking manouvres with supporting concepts (in a nutshell I tried to make sure my pieces were supporting each other as I advanced towards my opponents King).
As you can probably tell I really enjoyed this game, not for the winning but for the improvement in my strategy play.
I continue on my journey into the baptism of fire, in the hope that my game will be well forged and that I too can someday be ‘not too bad’ at the game of Kings & Queens.
Details of the game are below;
